Dr Peirats-Llobet obtained her PhD in Plant Molecular Biology and Biotechnology at IBMCP in Spain studying how drought stress hormone, ABA, is connected with chromatin remodelling machinery. She joined La Trobe in 2018 as a postdoc and her research focuses on studying cereal’s seed germination with high-throughput sequencing techniques. Her current project involves developing single cell and spatial transcriptomics techniques for plants.
